2019 Awardee – Inspector David Geraghty, Bermuda Police Service

At the time of the 2019 award, Inspector Geraghty had processed over 150 PATI requests received by the BPS, more than any other Information Officer in Bermuda at that time. He was part of the leadership within the BPS that ensured the organisation was prepared to respond when the PATI Act came into force. He sought and advocated for sufficient resourcing and training to allow the BPS to meet the public’s information needs.
