Making a PATI request can be as easy as posting a question or comment on social media:
- Decide what records you want. You can ask for information recorded any in format, such as reports, emails, recordings, meeting minutes, invoice, etc.
- Figure out which public authority has the records you want. You can find a list of public authorities on this website here.
- Make your request in writing and submit your request by email or letter directly to the public authority. You will receive a response in 6 weeks, unless the public authority needs another 6 weeks to process complex requests. If you are dissatisfied with the responses, you have a right to an independent review by the Information Commissioner.
- Know, Understand, Share! Any information you obtain can be used and shared.
For more information or assistance, contact the ICO at email@example.com or call 543-3700.
